Dear friends of cytometry,
We would have liked to welcome you personally in Berlin on the occasion of the 30th anniversary conference of the DGfZ, but now the measures for the protection of all of us have priority.
In addition to an exciting programme, we were also looking forward to the “get together” and the poster session in the area of the industrial exhibition. Our plan was to do everything with more space and distance – as it turned out, distance was the right keyword.
Unfortunately, we also had to cancel the Arminius Markthalle for the social evening, which we had already ordered. Of course, it is precisely the ” in-between communication ” that makes our annual conferences so special. With the experience of the pandemic, we all have to find new ways to form this important part of a conference.
We are working on finding possible new technologies in web communication that will help us to make the best out of the situation. We will keep you informed about possible new tools, e.g. for poster presentation! We hope for a broad participation, good discussions and nevertheless new insights.
New in this Year: Webinar competition
To get to know the individual industry partners of DiGifZ 2020 better, we have chosen the format of the satellite webinars. With this we want to give the partners the opportunity to introduce themselves with individual projects. You have 30 minutes time for this. We have distributed the individual webinars over the days before and during the conference – this leaves enough time for the individual sets.
Since we have already reduced the conference program considerably before, we would like to integrate the satellite webinars into the conference with a special competition.
Task: Participate in each (!) of the webinars and answer a question afterwards!
Requirements for participation: Registration as participant of the DiGifZ 2020 via the Conference Tool.
Prizes: 3 participants can win a Ipad Air each.
From all participants the three winners will be drawn at the end of the conference. The drawing and award ceremony will take place during the summary session on Friday, 2.10.2020.
In our opinion this prize corresponds to the hip digital communication!
Registration and fees
Here are the key data for registration and costs
Conference fees: We have decided not to make any differences between members, students and/or non-members this year. The format is new for all of us, the costs are lower and maybe people who normally could not attend the meeting will have the chance to participate.
So we have a uniform fee of 25 Euros for all participants.
Conference tool: We are using the ConfTool software to manage all things related to participation at the conference. At first you can browse the conference agenda. For your first registration simply click the “Register new” button and enter a few basic information about yourself. Choose a user name and password and you’ll be all set. After signing in to ConfTool you have a variety of options to manage your conference participation.
- register for the conference
- submit an abstract poster presentation
- edit your account details
- edit a submitted abstract
- manage your payments (after you registered)
- print out important documents like the invoice
- have a look at the conference agenda
- and more…
