Since 1996 the DGfZ (German Society for Cytometry) awards a younger scientist with the Klaus-Goerttler-Prize. The award is named after Prof. Klaus Goerttler, who was a pathologist and trend-setting member of the foundation board of our society.
The Prize is dedicated to award a younger scientist for a scientific work out of the wide field of Cytometry which appears outstanding both in scientific quality and innovation as well as presentation and layout.

The thesis (already printed or in press) and/or scientific papers already published (or in press) will be considered in the reviewing process by the council board of the society. A recommendation letter by the supervisor and a short CV of the applicant should also be included in the submission.

The awarded scientist will be invited to give a presentation reflecting his/her work during the award ceremony on the occasion of the annual conference of the society, on Sept 25-27 in Berlin. The prize is awarded with 1,000 €.
